Precision Autonomy

Monitoring and identifying UAVs while in flight

Little Ripper is collaborating with an Australian and US based company Precision Autonomy, and trialling their system which provides a method of monitoring and identifying UAVs while in-flight as well as tracking their lifecycle operations and performance.

The Precision Autonomy Deployment Management System:

  • Provides operating performance data to deploy and manage large numbers of concurrent UAVs remotely
  • Plan, track and monitor concurrent flights via dashboards and in-flight alerts
  • Simplify flight planning, operational processes, as well as automate flight logging
  • Support business planning and forecasting of flights, pilots, and equipment

It consists of a:

  • Transponder (The ‘Purple Box’) – a small, lightweight transponder easily affixed to any UAV
  • Network Communications – broadcasts real-time data on the location, flight conditions and operational performance of the UAV via cellular SIM card
  • Lifecycle Data Management Service (LDMS) stores real-time in-flight data and other contextual data in the Cloud, across UAV licensing/certification, manufacturing, in-flight operations, flight logs, maintenance/retirement, compliance and safety performance
